And there's still another one yet to play before TCU's BCS Bowl game.

Care to guess how many of Texas' opponents from this year are making bowl appearances?

FWIW - TCU has the same number of opponents in bowls as Ole Miss... and yes, I'm aware that the Shreveport Bowl and the BhamPizza Bowl haven't happened yet.

My point is this - TCU hasn't faced as weak a schedule as many would like to say they have.

They will destroy Boise State and like it.
They will return 18 starters next year and enjoy it.
They will breathe down everyone's neck until BCS time rolls around next year...and settle it.

Troubl--

Thanks for the invite. I will opine shortly on the OP's question.

Could they beat Bama? Sure.

If I was forced to bet the house I would put the money on Bama though.

TCU is a VERY complete team and certainly would be able to keep up with BAMA. I don't think the game would be a blow out either way.

I see the biggest weakness for TCU being the up front physicality and depth. I would expect Bama to pound the ground game until TCU stopped it (which may be quickly considering they have the 2nd best rush defense in the nation). However, TCU's offense is dynamic and has the ability to produce the big plays. A slow scoring Bama may have real troubles with a faster scoring TCU.

BAMAs biggest weakness would be either underestimation of their opponent and/or the momentum loss when they are behind to a "MWC nobody" Lets not forget Alabama won games against 4 teams by only 10 pts or less, including AUB and Tenn. So the possibility of a loss to TCU is very real had we ever seen this game.

Yes TCU could would they dont know, ftr I would rather face Texas if for no other reason there is less shame in losing to texas than TCU. That may not seem right but Texas is abviously very well respected whereas TCU(depending on who leaves) may drop off the map.
