Whoah Whoah Whoah... don't get lippy, hear me out...

This year, leading up to the UGA asswhipping in Columbia, both Murray AND Gurley were in ESPN's top ten Heisman watch... as a matter of fact they were the ONLY two players from the SEC that were in the top ten.

After the Carolina loss... they dropped off.

Now that UGA is going to ATL, and from there to the National Championship game...

IF UGA gets through Bama.... do either of them get back into serious contention?

I suppose alot of that depends on their performance against Bama, but if they are good performances... does that overcome the Carolina bed-shitting when they were both still top-ten contenders?

You're welcome for that when it comes. They're so confident they remind me of Michigan fans.

Lessee, in Georgia's signature win over Florida, Murray went 12 for 24, 150 yds, 1 TD, 3 INTs.

Yeah, no chance at the Heisman.

ETA: How the holy hell did you win that game???

Nevermind that Murray is the Greg Maddux of UGA QB's. Lights out when its not important but shits the bed when the lights are on bright.

I don't know that he is the 3rd best player at UGA much less the best player in the country. He's a quality QB without question but I don't know many that would credit Murray as the key to UGA's success.

He's had a heck of a year no doubt with 30 td's and 7 picks. However Johnny Manziel showed up against Alabama. Against the only two tough defenses Murray faced he is 23 of 56 for 259 yards with 1 td and 4 picks.

He would need to beat Bama and go 28 of 35 for 400 and 5 touchdowns or something crazy like that.

You guys won that game handily. Spurrier has Richts number and your team was ready to play. No arguments or excuses from me. The better prepared and better coached team won that night.

They don't deserve to win. Johnny football is impressive. I think if georgia wins Murray gets to go to new york and he will get 4th

Three straight 3000 yard seasons with 30 touchdowns, 10 yards per attempt (not completion, per attempt... leading his team back from a humiliating beatdown to a National Championship?

Remember... my OP says ... bold and underlined... IF UGA gets through Bama with a good performance...

Is he back in the running?

What other quarterbacks in SEC history have thrown for over 3000 yards in three seasons?

As a junior, he's already tied Peyton's career record for TD passes. He's busted all of Stafford's school records.

If he leads us to the NC game, how does he NOT get considered for the trophy? The only reason I don't include the NC itself, doesn't the Heisman get gifted before the NC game?

I've got a feeling that if UGA beats Bama, the Bama fans will pull the LSU staple and DEMAND that Murray get the Heisman. Because ONLY the quarterback that beats Bama could be the best in the nation.

So far it's Johnny.

But next week, it could very well be Aaron.
