I don't care who you are, any coach that does what that idiot did should be suspended for several games! I don't care about their big game against Georgia. Why does a player have to pay a heavier price than the person responsible for starting everything? Mullen should have gotten fined $100,000 and also suspended for a couple of games! This was a perfect situation that the SEC could have used to show the college football world that coaches in this league are held to a high standard and there are severe consequences when you don't! $25,000? Mullen wipes his rear with TP that cost more than $25,000!

Mullen threw a punch?

Were there any players suspended that didn't throw a punch?

Look at the video again--Mullen did throw a punch but he threw it at air. Throwing little punches at air doesn't warrant a suspension.

I wish our coaching staff had enough fire in them to start a fight on the sidelines. Just needs to be with our own players. Coach O needs to start beating asses..

Exactly, bitching at a ref for a completely blown call gets you a fine, not a suspension.

Nope. But his actions did not help to calm things down. In fact, he threw gasoline on the fire.

Again, no. but there were players who were not suspended that did throw punches.

Maybe, but when there is fighting going on around you and you are screaming at opposing players...that is totally different. had he attempted to stop the fighting and then yelled at the refs as his team was going into the locker room nothing would have happened to him. I mean, yeah. It was a late hit. just like hundreds of other late hits that happen every year.

Honestly Muschamp face and screaming at refs making them hate him

He was definitely more embarrassing to me jmo

Mullen was at fault for things getting crazy but I like a smart good coach with fire in em. Doubt it happens again.

Because he didn't instigate it. A Missouri player did. As seen by where the brawl started. The only way it happens there is a Missouri player is on our side of the separated groups.

Missouri should learn to control their players. That simple. If the Rant was not delusional, they would notice more Missouri players were suspended and realize the reason is that Missouri started the brawl. End of story.

Probably not a lot of sense in belaboring this but two points:

1. Florida players are on the Missouri side of the field. The brawl starts on our hash and pushes even closer to the sideline. As I understand it Florida's locker room is accessed through a tunnel smack in the middle of the endzone so why then do you go from the Florida sideline, past the hash on your side of the field to the other team's hash only to have to veer back to the middle of the field to exit. That make's no sense. I wish there was a continuous overhead wide shot beginning with the last play of the half up to the beginning of the brawl. If one exists I haven't seen it.

2. Doesn't make sense Mizzou would instigate. Were the Missouri players mad at Trask for taking a late hit from Jeffcoat? Seems the other way around would make a lot more sense.

As an aside, as superfluous as it is I kinda like the fact that each coach has Troopers from his own state shadowing him on both home and away games. Arguably the host state could supply police protection, but it wouldn't be as cool as each having their "own guys". I bet that's a coveted merit/seniority gig for the Troopers!

Well given the fact that it clearly was a late hit on a heisman front runner I’m sure the league officials gave some leeway. Flag should have been called and Mullen was giving it to the head official. I’m personally happy he stuck up for Trask, you don’t let your star qb take those hits without consequence. Remember last year Kentucky Lb trying to injure Trask knee, I’m sure that’s fresh in Mullen mind. None of that BS

Pruitt got fined over 100k (think it was 125k) for wearing his mask wrong. Mullen starts a fight and gets a 25k fine. The front office needs to get its shite together. Appearances matter and the appearance of fairness in sports is a must.

As long as it was stern I am good with it. Some finger wagging, the whole nine yards.
