There's an old story about a State coach recruiting on of the Canale brothers. The State coaches were toying with the idea of having the quarterback stand a few yards back and the center snapping it to him that way. However, the Canale running back was more suited to the traditional way of running an offense. Right after an assistant coach came up with a name for the new offense, the head coach scrapped it and said......"Leave the gun. Take the Canale".
