And, yes, suggesting that someone is inferior (in this sense, that he isn't enough of a man to play football) because of their sexual orientation is bigotry.

That's not the same as saying someone doesn't "like" it.
If you're white and have only dated white people, then whatever. If you're white and have only dated white people because you believe it's wrong to do otherwise, then you're racist.
