Cowbells were completely right about Hevesy. Had 3 instate OLs and UF whiffs on 2 of them.

Edit: Get a bunch of tier two and three OLs.

Yeah, and the ones he did get were taken from us.

You guys will do even worse when he no longer has preexisting relationships with our recruits.

On a positive note he has shown a willingness to turn in programs in his own division he believes are cheating more than him.

He will get a lot out of the talent he brings in and since you are in the East he has a soft schedule. You will have a good W-L with Mullen at Florida but you will get smoked by Georgia every year.

There was what 1 or 2 guys that had been looking at MSU including the kicker? That is not what made up this recruiting class.

Florida will be fine. Mullen is going to go after the elite QBs that he wants, and he will get some.

Get those kind of QB commits and other elite talent will follow to Gainesville.

MSU got a WR out of New Orleans that we never would have signed in the past because the kid followed Mullens QB to Starkville.

He will frustrate the hell out of you with OL recruits, though.

Well, just to give you an idea of how long it took for him to get his own system QB at State. He became our HC in December 2008 and he didn't really get his own system-type QB until February 2011 when Dak signed with us. We missed on several QB's before that to schools like Houston. Now the good news for UF is that you should at least land one of those QB's this year since you have a better brand and they almost grow on trees in Florida.

We signed Emory Jones. I’m pretty sure he is his type of system QB. Hired in 2017 and signed a QB in 2017

I think he got his guy in Jones but if Jones is a bust '19 is pretty bleak at QB.

Kids like this + The type of offensive excitement that Mullen will show in Gainesville will have immediate impact on recruiting. There was a huge doo-doo cloud hanging over the Gator program for most of the past 18 months

This is Mullen's greatest talent. He will get production. The kid may get hurt if he doesn't bulk up, but Dan will find a way to make him productive.

As soon as he took the UF job I tweeted and asked if I could have his Yeezy's since he was going to a Nike school.

He didn't block me, at least

There really is so much that needs to be addressed as a program. We've fired 2 coaches in 4 years, the offense is a national joke and we're late on facility upgrades. Foley did a lot of good here, but handling of football post-Meyer was terrible. Mullen needs to get a decent offense on the field just to help build some positive momentum.
