How do bama fans feel about their basketball team? I feel like State has been getting better, but I haven't watched any Alabama bball.

Think of this like Saban's first year minus the GOAT coach part. Just filtering out the bad apples and trying to get in some one and dones.

Well Croom beat Saban in Saban's first year, so I guess that bodes well for State

We're not all that talented but play very hard - particularly on defense.

If you don't bring your A game, we will frick you up.

Alabama may come in there and run y'all out of the gym....or more likely, shoot about 35%, get out rebounded, hit about 50% of their free throws, foul 2 or 3 guys out, and leave with a loss. If we're nothing else, at least we are unpredictable.

I don't know about how much better. The lineup is better with Q starting. Newman is shooting better. Idk if Ware is in the lineup tonight? Our 2 wins are against a depleted Ole Miss team and a really bad Missouri team.

They play hard. Talent took a hit when Ingram went down for the year. The style of play and coaching is solid and gives us reason for optimism. Additionally, Avery is recruiting well so more talent is on the way.

We've beaten 3 or 4 teams who were ranked at the time... and some other good teams... we are better than MSU tho. this team is funny and hard to tell what you will get from anyone other than Obosohan. We will play great D and if you are a bad shooting team we could blow you out. Bama has about 4 or 5 guys that can go for 20 any given night... they just don't ever play like that night in and out but that's good game planning by the other team too.

First year of a major rebuilding and it's gone better than expected. The team plays harder and more focused. AJ looks legit and is recruiting lights out. Future looks pretty good right now.

Tonight is a huge game for us. I really don't know what to expect. I'm sure it will be close.

I see that State opened up at -4, and is now at -4 1/2.

State is 11-6 ATS this year, third behind USC and Florida. Bama is 10-8 ATS.

Solid team, but light on talent. There are nights when a guy or two plays well above their level and they beat teams they probably shouldn't. The coaching is better than it has been in a long time.

We've beat Notre Dame, Wichita State, and South Carolina who were all ranked at the time. Won at Clemson and had a big lead on Oregon before losing by 4. Thats the good part. The bad is, we lost at Auburn, when we lost at South Carolina there was like 4 players who fouled out. We are very inconsistent and unpredictable. They're a very fun team to watch. Coach Avery is a very good coach and recruiter from what I've seen so far. For him to be floating around the bubble on and off with these players is amazing. I can't wait to see what he does with that top 15 class coming in next year. RTR! #BuckleUp

2017 high school senior class out of Alabama has some ballers. Will be fun to watch Pearl and Johnson go head to head on those guys. Hopefully Howland can come in and steal some, State has had some success recruiting in Alabama basketball.
