Refs took over the game when we cut the lead to 13. They're protecting the home team...Vegas bigwigs need their cut of the gambling money on the spread.

Oh I'm not completely blaming them. We haven't helped ourselves. But as the announcers commented we had all the momentum and the refs called the flagrant killing any momentum we had.

Refs are screwing us -- but we have run into a team that is simply hot as hell from the field.
One thing I like about Ray -- excellent halftime adjustments. You saw us doubling down early and taking away the inside shot. Could tell the scouting report said to give Deville(and UNLV in general) the 3 and keep him out of the lane -- and he daggered us early after shooting 23% from 3 previously. Come back out from the half and have largely taken away the 3 now.
Just aren't there yet. It's frustrating as hell -- but there are some positives that can be seen. Just gotta build more depth, add a 5, and a pure outside shooter...

I think the fouls really affected the play attitude of your players. I wish your coach would have calmed them down, but I didn't see anything that would have the led to be the case. I think that MSU has some opportunities to learn from this. Playing with bad refs, and learning to capitalize, which I think a little more success was had from what I have seen. The flat-footed defense is absolutely apparent, and this may the most fleet-footed team y'all have played, but should be good for when you face OM, and other teams that move quick.
It was the rebels night, but I am licking my chops. If you want pay attention when they have to play SDSU and UNM, those defenses are going to give them two different types of defenses that are going to give them fits.
