I went to Memorial in 93 to watch the Hogs and Dores. That place was intimidating as hell when it was amped up. I liked it.

Ok that's ugly. Steg looks nice from the outside but inside is a dump

A&M's is worst to me or at least the court shows worst on tv. so very drab, even in hd it looks like it's from raycom or jp every time i see them.

It looks worse on TV but atmosphere for live game can be pretty good. Maroon and Beige (the principle colors you see on campus) really do make everything look more drab. Actual structures for many of the buildings look like they were built in the 1950's in that really bland and unattractive style. Lots o concrete and not much views.

When they redid the baseball stadium it was a good start and the upgrades to Kyle should help as well. Brick looks better than concrete and better landscaping should add some natural greens to the color wheel.

Arkansas pops out more because that red is more brilliant so it pops out more. LSU with Purple and Gold may have the most bang for the buck and the Oranges in the SEC are bright enough to stand on their own. Kentucky Blue may be the most noticed in the single color schools because it is unique. If we had Tulane - with the Green - it would stand out as well.

We are the only SEC arena with windows.

I'm hanging a fricking banner.

By the window.

Memorial is funky and weird. The block-shaped stands are so strange with stadiums always looking to maximize capacity. It's awesome, I think though. It definitely takes getting used to if you're used to "normal stadiums". And yes, it looks weird on TV, I know. One of the best parts is when they turn off the lights under the balconies, so it almost becomes like watching a movie. Well, it is except (on a good night) the crowd is yelling and cheering. If you get a chance, go see a game there.

As for the Auburn Arena, the student section on the floor is pretty cool. If it ever filled up and the team is ever good, the AA could get loud and rocking.

A&Ms looks really nice.

I've been there multiple times. It was modern for its time in the 1990s but its time has kinda passed, in terms of new era arenas Mizzou Arena has a whole lot more bells & whistles and better sight lines. But Reed Arena is still good, I've only otherwise been to Vandy's Memorial Gym on that list so I can't comment on how much higher A&M should be but my gut instinct is they should at least be a little higher.

Bit better Mizzou Arena shot IMHO, this may be quite a bit like what Ole Miss' arena will look like when it opens, the deliberate "retro style" fieldhouse look is still kinda in right now it seems...

As an aside, I am predicting that this coming weekend Kentucky will have the largest visiting crowd ever in Mizzou Arena. The only other school we played regularly wih a fanbase that passionate & who travels that well was kansas, and due to the rivalry Mizzou fans always lapped up tickets in such larger numbers that you couldn't really detect any ku presence (the above pic is a Mizzou-kansas game, notice there's no blue). But with Kentucky not being a rival, and with the Mizzou fanbase being more down on this team and Coach Haith than they've ever been, and it being a new road trip for UK's diehard fanbase to go on, my bet is there will be pretty massive swaths of blue in Mizzou Arena unlike anything we've ever seen before up there.

I'm not sure I can bring myself to even say that.

I guess it's not a complete eyesore and is a nice facility to hold rodeos in.

KU came to TBA in 2010 when they were #1 (we beat that arse with only 6 scholarship players ) and they traveled very, very well for being so far away. Had probably 600 or 700 here. Hard to compare them to UK though since UK fans are so close.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm saying, with Kentucky going up to Missouri it will probably be like that in reverse with at least those sorts of numbers. ku traveling like they do would have obviously filled our arena to the brim every year if we had let them since we are so close by, but the rivalry was such that Mizzou fan demand was every bit as high as theirs. Right now, Mizzou fan mood and hopes for our team is pretty much at rock bottom and although its a big game against UK, the lack of history will probably mean our fans won't be as motivated to shell out huge cash for scalper tickets - and that's where the UK masses can always get you.

Never once did venture to AFH on my end, I just couldn't ever see a way I wouldn't wind up getting in a fight if I were there. Was in Lawrence one time on a non-gameday and that was bad enough, was ready to shoot either myself or somebody else or both within minutes.

Rupp is scheduled to have a total re-do by 2018. It's part of a $330 million renovation of the Civic Center on West Main. Similar to Commonwealth Stadium, seating capacity may be reduced to accommodate luxury boxes. There wasn't much reaction to reducing capacity of CWS but if some people lose their seats at Rupp we might have a class war in Lexington.

I've only been to a couple of them.

Auburn's is a nice, intimate facility. It is too bad our team is terrible and the fans never show up enough to even fill up a small place.

Arkansas' arena used to rock back in the 90's when it was new and the team was good. These days I think it is okay.

Maybe I can make it to LSU sometime soon.

Yeah, Rupp is a dump which is why I never understood why they're #1 on stadium lists.

If you're actually ranking just arena's themselves, Rupp wouldn't be Top 3 right now.
