True, but instead of laughing at them, y'all are trying to make this about A&M. An Ag didn't even start this thread.

Look at the map. A&M would be isolated. The only school close by they would play every year would be Arkansas and that would be their only rival. Bama and Auburn will never consider A&M as a top rival and could care less about them.

You say that like you think it means something.

We really don't.

A&M's upward trend pretty much nothing to do with LSU. We would still be on an upward trend if LSU left the conference.

Again, if LSU leaves, Tulane replaces them. It would actually an easier trip for our teams to only have to fly into NOLA. LSU leaving makes travel cheaper for us!

A&M does not need LSU to function in the SEC and you would most assuredly be replaced w/no issue.

That's because he brought Tulane into the equation... My PCP did her undergraduate work with Tulane and if you mention LSU she pinches her nose in disgust which I find highly amusing.

I understand what you are saying, but I disagree. I think the lSU rivalry would be transplanted by A&M. They have had two very good games the last two years. And, I am not so sure people care about proximity.

People (Fans and TV) would LOVE to see Notre Dame and a competitive team in the SEC play. No proximity. Oregon, USCw, Texas, Ohio State and any good SEC team would draw people and viewers.
While proximity is good for rivalries, the stadiums would be packed and viewership on TV would be huge for any of those games.

What game was more anticipated this past season than Alabama/Texas A&M? Shoot...how about LSU/Oregon a few seasons ago? GREAT game! I'd love to see Ole Miss and Texas play again. Noen of those make for a natural rivalry. But a rivalry is only good for the local school. Who cares about Georgia/Georgia Tech outside of the state of Georgia? Or Ole Miss/Mississippi State? Proximity is way overrated IMO. But then...I have been wrong before. Just my opinion on this.

For the record...I would hate to see LSU go, and I don't think it is serious by any stretch. I don't think LSU fans want it...LSU Administration....nobody connected with LSU wants it except POSSIBLY a very few handful of fans. Shoot...the writer that wrote the story isn't even for it. He just wanted to sell newspapers.

I love how A&M fans run away from Texas b/c of political reasons (so they say) and they now give LSU crap about having similar issues with Bama.

I guess you guys are destined to forever be little brother. Bama answered the call and now fills that role. Texas A&M fans: my new big brother is much much better than my old big brother.

Sure thing, ctiger69.

Hey ... if you need any travel tips for Kansas and Iowa, I'm happy to share some.
Great folks up there.

I would not make that trip. Same way I have never been to Kentucky or Vanderbilt.

Maybe you can give info for Oklahoma and Texas schools though LSU is not leaving the SEC anytime soon.

You aren't leaving the SEC. Y'all are a founding member. Quit being so dramatic.

Your upward trend has to do with the SEC though which is what I said in the beginning. You think if you were still in the Big 12 you would be still trending upward

I have trolled people in the past...LSU for one, but I can also have a lucid and honest conversation for one. LSU does not have to run from anyone. This is a matter of a writer trying to sell papers. Some impressionable fans might read it and take up the cause, but anybody with a brain in Louisiana will read, laugh and walk away shaking their heads.

I was born in Baton Rouge and still have family there. Shoot my cousin graduated from LSU and my brother bleeds purple and gold. I keep trying to get him to try on some nice red and black clothes, but just can't seem to get through to him!

Exactly bro. Our fan base can be great sometimes, but they do tend to have brain farts on occasion

You are viewing that as tho LSU would be an equal. Once in Texas would squeeze them just like the rest of the Nutless Nine.

Of all the LSU fans I know, not one has ever said we should leave the SEC. Whoever thinks this is a huge pussy.

A&M fans are uppity when they have one signature conference win since joining the SEC. Granted, had they not been your first game in 2012 I think you beat UF, but if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle.

A&M has a lot of factors going for it's program right now, and there has been an upward trend, but many schools trend up and regress back to where they came from. Win the West with thy lord and savior Kyle Allen (which I think you will) and you can talk shite about LSU.
