I watched the clip and what's strange is the kid says to the caller on the phone that the man "is at the game with 75,000 hog callers". Our capacity was like 50-55k back then.

UT Austin's campus they used LSU's campus and clock tower since it brought back too many awful memories for the Texas community.
They actually had the tower closed off to everyone at UT during that time I believe.

What was that horror movie that came out a few years ago where the crazy muder-rapist rednecks had an ole miss confederate flag flying in their truck?

Let's just go ahead and say the schools has to be portrayed or at least verbally referenced in some way.
A flag or piece of clothing on its own doesn't cut it.

Fully acknowledged, but this thread just made me think of it. I want to find the screencap, but I can't think of that damn movie's name.

So because Deadly tower says it's UT's campus, but in actuality it's LSU's it doesn't count?
I guess that's fair.

There's no telling. Probably indicative of their research budget. Or that kid was just dumb which is pretty plausible if you're unfortunate enough to have seen the whole thing.

There was a movie made during the 90's that had a fictitious Texas State University team playing Mississippi State for some kind of title or something. Vague I know.
ETA: just googled it. Was "The Program" based on an ECU team. We lost 20-28 to them in the first game of the season
Also, the home stadium of fictional ECU is USCe's stadium.

"A Love Song for Bobby Long" - John Travolta is a washed-up Auburn English professor, and some stuff happened that I don't really know about because I haven't seen the movie, but he ends up back in Auburn at one point or another.

Watched this one, Brians Song, The Program, The Express and The Blindside all in one day.

So true. I've only seen bits of the first Boggy Creek and it was so bad it is funny

Dukes of Hazzard - was filmed in Clinton and had parts at LSU

LSU's campus was also used for The Dukes of Hazard, Pride, Pitch Perfect, and Glory Road. All since 2005.
