Not much of an "eruption," but I didn't find anything wrong with what he had to say. Hell of a coach just telling it like it is, IMO.

I love having Nick Saban as our coach. I support him 100%. He's the best in the game.
That being said, if I were one of those reporters that he berates, I'd tell him to go F himself.

A common trait among the best coaches has always been that they are the hardest on their team after a big win and easiest on the team after a bad loss. Bill Parcells was known for this.
As an LSU fan I just wish he would burn out and retire soon.

Don't kid yourself that this was an "act". This is Little Nicky at his best/worst as he literally detests the media & takes every chance he has to bully them. He got away with it at LSU because the Manships own the local media & he sucked up to the family big time: the result was about as powerpuff a coverage of a college football team as imaginable. Ask the Miami media if he put on an act down there. They hated him & still take any shot they can at him. Sad to say, he is a great coach, but then so is Dean Smith, Coack K, etc, proving that nice coaches can win, too.

This is absolutely spot on. And, I never understood why Saban worried so much about the what the media says or thinks.

He is all about publicity; now he is trying to make Bama seem less arrogant. They may be as good as the hype, but the "humility" Saban tries to show is over the top false. Taking it out on the media is ridiculous. Saban is completely disingenuous, he was shameless in his promotion of Alabama last year at the price of being unfair to a team that had the right to play for the title, Oklahoma State. Where was his concern for fair play and the other guys then???? Geaux Tigers, we earned the right to play for the title just like the Pokes did.

But, but...I thought the media loved Nick Saban? I agree 100% Keltic.
