Getting 6 picks is the only thing that guy has done. Robert Lester had more. Is he better than LC too? Ill answer. No

Im not tryin to be an arse, but I don't think the guy is that great. By no means is he garbage, but he is no Landon Collins. Tony Conner is better than Prewitt honestly. But you're cool in my book. You're one of the few who doesn't get on my case about voicing my honest opinion on the Bama board. Some of those guys just think our starters are just the 22 single best players in the nation

Whats gonna crack me up is if Coker pans out and uses his cannon and speed to his advantage and becomes a weapon with our receivers. The deep ball is going to be something we see this year, I think. If he limits mistakes and just doesn't try and do too much, I don't see how he can fail with the talent around him. All jokes now, but some people might disappear when some threads get bumped.

After seeing the practice reports, Kenyan Drake may be a freak if he can stop fumbling the god damn ball.

I am a Drake fan, but him at 3rd back is where he needs to be. He wouldn't do well getting as many carries as Yeldon and Henry. He needs to be out there as a change of pace and as a different look. Using him the way we do now is perfect. His success thrives off catching defenses off guard. Saying that, he is not up for discussion as the best RB in the SEC haha

IMO, we can debate who's the best RB

No, there are people who like to pretend, but there is no actual debate here.

Derrick Henry is lurking my friend. I agree Gurley is the best, but I wouldn't say he is undisputed. Hope he gets healthy because he is fun to watch Yeldon could be a coin flip with him, if he wouldn't fricking fumble.

Compared to the other backs, Derrick Henry was completely shut down during the scrimmage saturday.

Let me take this opportunity to throw Chris Jones' hat in the ring, with a big year this season.

I don't put much stock into those stats. Henry could have been going up against 1st team and Drake vs a combo of 2nd and 3rd. You never know. I remember when Richardson had some pedestrian scrimmage stats as well. Henry was around 4 yards a carry in the scrimmage which isn't shut down, but I don't do evaluations on that few of carries. As well as the OL swapping and defense personnel switching.

Food for thought. Alabama defenses usually stop power better than speed.

We'll see. Henry has potential, but Gurley is the most talented back the SEC and CFB has seen in quite a while. I would expect the next one on that level will take a while to show up, but that doesn't mean it can't happen now.

As for Yeldon, I disagree, the gap in OL quality s too great. I think TJ is 3rd best on his own team, with a caveat. Personally I think Drake is better than Yeldon, but again there is the fumbling issue and apparently some attitude ones as well. Pure running ability though, I'll take Drake and Henry first, but still Gurley over them all.

Would love to see what Todd could do behind a line like Bama was fielding in that SECCG.

I agree with that. I think a RB who will breakout is Arizona St.'s DJ Foster. Look him up if you don't know who he is.

TJ is the best RB in CFB when it comes to his cuts in the hole. He is a well rounded RB with Speed and Power like Gurley, but I do think Gurley has more power, doesn't fumble, has great hands, and has legit speed. Yeldon's strengths over Gurley is his cuts and his speed. The ability to do it all only exists with Gurley and Yeldon. Where Gurley puts himself above TJ is, like I said before, fumbling. If he didn't fumble it would be a flip of a coin. OL play isn't a factor anymore. Our OL is above average. Kouandjio and Shepard aren't all world OL. I expect them to be replaced if that tells you anything about our current OL situation.

Drake is faster and has better straight line speed, and gets out of tackles better with finesse. Henry I think is the best RB on the team, but doesnt have the combo of everything like TJ does and thats why I think he starts, on top of experience.

It is funny how our top 3 RBs are top 5 in the SEC lol.

By season's end Ill say it'll be:

Henry, Yeldon/Gurley, Davis, Fournette, Collins/Drake, Taylor.

It really is weird because Yeldon will out up insane numbers as far as the history books in Alabama, but he'll always be remembered as pedestrian at best. Or at least for that one play. Drake is far and away the better back...but he's also the better dumbass too.

Everyone's beef with TJ is that he seems to always fumble at the most important parts of the most important games. He even did it vs LSU in 2012 before his redemption play.

High and tight. I just hope him worrying about not fumbling doesn't change his production. If we make it through the season without TJ losing a fumble and Coker throwing less than 10 picks, we will be cooking with gas.
