Yeguete has cost us 2 FF by being hurt during the NCAA tournament.

Are you being serious?

yup, he was that important.
This year after his knee surgery, he has lost a lot of speed, but last year, and the year before he would have been key IMO.

Yeguete is definitely important and underappreciated. From the series of posts, I thought you were blaming him for being injured or that he was not underappreciated. My bad.

Dale I did not think Dean was underappreciated. He was the reason they made the run in SEC tourney to win it.

He was, but he is never in the conversation about the "greats" even at the position he played.

As far as this year is concerned, I feel that most of our players have gotten a lot of love and the ones that haven't aren't really deserving of it. Except Darcey Malone, 3 fouls every two minutes he's off the bench, I find that not enough people can appreciate how amazing that is. Jesus Christ he's a project.

This year: none. Everyone but releford is basically worthless

All-time: I'll go with Chuck Davis. He was only 6'7" but was a technician in the post and had great touch from mid-range. He's the reason we were in the elite 8 a few years back

Doug Smith doesnt belong in this conversation, you know that. Expound

As you said he was 2 time AA, All Big 8, was dominant. People knew they had to stop him. He generally showed up in big games (Richmond 1st round being the exception).

He was very appreciated during his playing days, IMO. I guess I just remember the battles at Hearnes, Kemper, Noble, Phog, and Hilton he was in.
