We haven't had too many in the Saban era. But I think Tim Castille and Le'Ron McClain were wasted by Mike Shula. Especially Le'Ron McClain. He had like 40 career run attempts at Alabama. But led the Ravens in rushing as a rookie in 2007.

Sure, I've heard all about Snoop being a shut down corner, and he proved to be a damn good reciever, but we were planning to play him at corner this year. He hasn't showed enough at corner to give me reason to believe he is an all-time waste. A waste for sure, just not all time. Dex played slot and ran occasionally in the "I don't know what the frick to call so lets do that Wild Rebel thing" formation in 2008. He was our primary RB for 8 or 9 games of 2009 and ran for 1100+ yards. He was wasted for the year of 2008.

Are we talking about coaches wasting talent or the players wasting their own talent?

For players, gotta be Trey Blackmon for AU. Still has the nastiest high school highlight reel I've ever seen but guy was a brick.

For coach wasted talent - Tim Carter back in the early 2000's was one of the fastest receiver's to play in the league, we just never got him the damn ball.

Dude just wasn't that good so i dont see how he was a waste of talent. Just b/c he was a 5* doesnt equate to great college talent.

Cecil Collins and Perilloux and the biggest waste by far for LSU imo.

He had mental issues. He was just a head case. I dont know if a different coaching staff would have changed that

on Holliday.

Shepard was in a shitty system....

I'd be more concerned with Reuben randle.
