They didn't just lose, they got fricking STOMPED.

List is horsesh*t. Florida, LSU, Auburn, and UGA all had contenders for the most talented teams in the nation at various times. Hell, just look at the damn draft picks from those schools. And for the 2011 'Bama and LSU teams not to be there makes the list null and void IMO.

Auburn 2004 was the best I've ever seen. 4 first round NFL draft picks that year, and 3 of them in the Top 10. Williams, Brown, Rogers.

I'm shocked 04 Auburn and 05 Texas aren't on that list.

I'm surprised Florida '08 isn't listed. Amazing defense, Pouncey twins on the oline, Hernandez, Riley Cooper, Louis Murphy (I think) and even Tebow was a first rounder.

Holy shite i just looked up that 2001 Miami roster, seems like half the team were/are mainstays on NFL rosters.

Just a few names:
Andre Johnson
Sean Taylor (RIP)
Kellen Winslow Jr
Jeremy Shockey
Antrel Rolle
Frank Gore
Bryant McKinney
Clinton Portis
Jonathan Vilma

There's plenty more but wow

And lots of them have been Pro Bowlers not just high draft picks

Many of those teams won the national title, but many did not.

Talent alone doesn't make a championship team. It's a necessary ingredient but it takes hard work, the right attitude, good coaching, and a little good fortune.

So two Bama teams combo Saban/Shula recruits and Phil Fulmer are the only teams listed from the SEC. I didn't look at the basis of the ranking, but this has to be flawed.

44 players made it to the NFL though less than half are still there.

Its based on draft picks for the whole team so for instance the 2001 Miami team gets credit for Kelly Jennings (CB drafted in the 1st rd in 2006 by Seattle) even though he was redshirting that year.
