Yeah that one was memorable. Alabama had lost its top three play makers that year to injury. Siran Stacy,Craig Sanderson, and Prince Wimbley. Stacey Harrison blocked a field goal towards the end of the game to keep it tied 6-6. Then Philip Doyle nailed a forty seven yard kick as time expired.

Someone else mentioned Peyton's freshman year (1994). Still one of the loudest games I've been to. Even though Tennessee lost, I still have the VHS and watch it every now and then. That was also when I knew we had a good one in Manning.

great thread

can't believe all these LSU pricks hating on this rivalry

thinking back on all these great games- hopefully Mizzou is gonna end up in the east and this game will stay on the schedule. it would be a shame not to play every year

2005 was great. Bama forced the Tennessee to fumble inside the 5. Bama regained the lead and won 6-3. Great, SEC slug fest.

its great looking back on

i was at that game, what a slugfest. pretty sure at the time though it was just stressful as hell b/c neither team had an offense worth a $hit and could barely get into FG range

Those are the games that take years off your life

That was a very stressful game. Thank God for Roman Harper.

Wasn't UT's starting rb on the bench during the fumble through the endzone?

for me it will always be 1993. That last drive to tie it up was something else.

the 1999 game was pretty special being the first time I had ever been to t-town and the first time in a long time the vols played there.

the 2003, 2005, and 2009 games took years off my life. I was ready to fight that whole stadium after that 09 game

It was Arian Foster who fumbled. Gerald Riggs, Jr. was the starter that year I believe.

This is my favorite Bama-UT game. I love seeing low scoring games. The throw from Croyle to Hall on 3rd down was amazing. Tennessee DB shoulda had it, but just floated in right over him.

It was their FB, not Foster, I believe.

That's what I thought as well, but went to check on ESPN and their article said Foster. Knew my gut was right.

It wasn't foster it was Anderson I would bet my life on it. Foster had his share of fumbles in his career though. The play was set up perfectly but our dumbass fullback fumbled throught the endzone.

That was Stalling's first year. We started the season off 0 - 3 with a loss to Farve at SoMiss, away at GA close and home against FL. The FL game was the one Spurrier said turned the corner for the Gators program. The D had come around by the thrid Sat in Oct. but the icing on the cake was UT was ranked 2nd in the nation going into that game and Lee Corso said word for word on ESPN "Alabama couldnt beat a high school team".

that 2005 made me sick. I had never seen a fan base so happy after a game. The bama fans were jubilant

Practically none of them really. The only two that stand out are mount fatass blocking the fg with his armpit and a game back in the 90's when david palmer scored late in the game for a bama win. Those are seriously the only two games I can even recall.

Dude, beer just came out of my nose!!! Like when I read "Mount Fatass" I pictured someone saying it with such sarcastic emphasis lol

'09. Going from despair as UT lined up to kick a game winning field goal to complete euphoria when Terrence Cody blocked it. I'll never forget it.

I liked the jay graham run in 96 that gave us a win. Little man fumbles in the 93 and 94 games at the goal line cost us wins in both of those. But the 85 game when Dale Jones intercepts Shula will always be my favorite. That was a special year. But the Peyton to Kent and Peyton’s bootleg in 95 are way up there. I can still hear John Ward on those. 2009 game killed me and I remember Humphrey game where he just went wild. Those games hurt along with 05 Anderson fumble game.

Just too much history in this game for it to ever end. Makes no sense if it does. These two built southern football....

What year was the game up in Knoxville, Peyton was still there I think...

Where Bama kept it close but Freddie Kitchens threw a pick 6 that was returned like 90 yards while we were driving deep in UT territory to take the lead late in the 4th

maybe 96? Was that the same game you were talking about?
