Auburn vs Miss St 3-2
Funny part was that the game was never in doubt.

I didn't go to it, but how many AU or Miss. State fans went to that 3-2 game years ago?

PS I was at that game too, but I was/am too young to really remember it.
I was 18, and barely remember it. Outside of all the turnovers, there was nothing to really remember.

I was at that Egg Bowl too. It was raining and cold, on top of it all.
At first, the scalper wanted $20 for an upper deck ticket and, after I laughed, we settled on a price of $5
I think we left at halftime to go to the Bin or some bar in the Cotton District.

Not SEC, but during LSU's bye week in 2003, I went to Fort Worth for the TCU-Army game.
TCU won 27-0, but the 1st half was pitiful by both teams. The 2nd half looked like Patterson was trying to take it easy on Army. Tough to watch.
Army fired Todd Berry either after that game or their next one and they finished 0-13.

That was 2010 in Oxford. We were up 31-9, and as you said if Relf could have hit an open receiver we'd have been up 52-9. Instead, we let OM get two garbage TDs to make it 31-23.

Was also at that game and sat in the Rebel Club next to Shephard Smith. It was bitter cold that night in Oxford and y'all waxed our asses.

That was the first Egg Bowl I took my son to. I wanted it to be one of those games where both fan bases were jawing at each other, and the game was competitive(and MSU wins late), but even though MSU won handily it was a dud.

Somewhat off topic, but the 2011 Ole Miss at Kentucky game was a treat to see. Walking into Commonwealth on the crisp November day, hearing the roar from the 28k+ big blue faithful. Just incredible. Absolutely electric.

I remember the week leading up to that game. Kentucky announced they were starting true freshman Maxwell Smith. My buddy said "well I know who is going to be freshman player of the week this week". Sure enough he passed for over 300 yards on us, won the game and freshman player of the week that week

Yep. Those late Houston Nutt years were not fun for football
Did you ever take him to another Egg Bowl?

Can't believe it took 3 pages for this game to be mentioned.
I was in Starkville that weekend visiting a friend, and for some ungodly reason - I agreed to go to that game.

I mentioned it on the first page, Baw.

The game where a mercy knee with 5 minutes left as the highlight was pretty boring

Haven't yet. I had a bad feeling about 2012 and 2014 in Oxford, and my feelings came real. Had tickets to 2013, but my Dad was sick with cancer so we stayed home at Thanksgiving with them. I'm glad I did because it ended up being our last Thanksgiving together. I think I'll try it again this year since it's a home game.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I bet that was a special Thanksgiving memory.
