The AU receivers weren't blocking worth a damn and Stove dropped a couple of passes. We targeted our best WR ONCE, and he hauled in a tough pass over the middle and held on after taking a nasty shot to the middle of his back. We didn't throw him another pass. Yeah, I was one of those that was very bullish on our OL. Believe it or not, they actually looked better last night than against Georgia Southern. All but about 4 or 5 plays, Stidham had time...but just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm not worried about the fact that they weren't creating wide open running lanes against the best DL in the nation, with a RB that looked like he was running with concrete shoes. They aren't as good as we thought, but they aren't nearly as bad as the 11 sacks would indicate.
Get into the Stidham hype...I don't care. The kid is broken mentally...there was nothing to indicate that in his previous starts with Baylor, or during his time in the Spring and summer with Auburn. Sure, ,it's clear now, but everyone in the country wanted this kid...so let's not act like Auburn tried to invent a star out of thin air. Everyone thought he was legit.

Too much pressure on a kid who has largely not been on the big stage and who lacks lots of real game experience.

Talent has to be developed, then put in a position to succeed. AU has the talent, but hasn't developed the talent, and calls shitty plays. Either I'm right, or Auburn has had the worst luck ever bringing in highly rated players in at every single position, that scouts were completely wrong about, and actually sucked balls.

We also never expected to win the national championship even when we did in 2010.
We also had little or no expectations last year when we finished second in the west and played in the Sugar Bowl.
Even if I accept your narrative, at least we have lived up to the hype more recently than you clowns have. We have won the west, sec, and national championship all more recently than LSU. Also been to two BCS bowls since the last time LSU went to one.

I'm pissed as an AU fan. Not because of one game but the Clemson game was already played out 4 times last year and 4 times the year before. Defense plays great and offensive philosophy gives NO one player on offense a chance to make a play unless every player executes flawlessesly. Players and coaches get blamed but it's clear that this is Gus....all Gus....and he needs to be toast today.
