more tainted than winning one with a $180k mercenary?

180K? Really? When all was said and done, it was considerably more than the paltry 180K. Cecil Newton had his debt retired and had a good bit left over. Closer to 225K in reality.

You paid 200k for Cam, little bitch troll.

Hey Pepa, don't act all high and mighty, you guys pay quite a bit too....yearly you pay more for players than just about any other team in college football...by far. The Kuondjio brothers were not cheap. Landon Collins cost you about 50K to seal the deal on top of the other "promises" you made to him. Trent Richardson was a cost as well...the cars, he 4 bedroom house for momma at below market rent(free)

In terms of cash it was about 225K But if you are counting "gifts" which are very hard to quanify then I suppose 300K may be the right number. I heard the number of 225K to get ink on paper.

Patton.......... The NCAA has proven to be a toothless tiger over the past decade when it comes to handling of recruitment violations. The Kuondjio Bros. were paid for out of contributions to DeMatha from an unidentified donor... a little over 300K ostensibly for the athletic department.

besides Cam Newton does Auburn have a good player in the NFL? I got to give them credit, whatever they paid him it was clearly not enough. they made a wise investment because he is one hell of a player
