I think the Smart thing will, I was just speaking toward the pecking order of choices. If his ultimate goal is being a HC, resurrecting the defense at UGA and getting some face time doing so will help him. Now, if Bama decides to pony up and he stays, I cant really blame him. I think he takes the offer though.

Wrong. Kirby has been our #1 the whole time, but we were told to wait until after the NCG for obvious reasons before negotiations could get serious. In the meantime, we offered Foster and were turned down. We flirted with Chavis but don't know if an actual offer was on the table. The deal with Koenning was greatly overexaggerated by his agent and he did NOT have an offer. In the past 2 weeks, we also offered Grantham as our fallback if Kirby didn't come. Although the timing may not seem like it, Kirby has been our #1 the whole time I can assure you.
