Arkansas actually produces good basketball talent, plus Memphis is right next door.

Yeah... if talent were a factor, why does Arkansas have a far better history than UGA? That line of reasoning makes no sense.

how many final four's have UGA been to? any title games? If UGA built a new basketball arena it would be good job. I mean Auburn and ole miss have the money to build a new arena and UGA doesn't.

The money is there. It's a matter of wanting to spend it

Simply put, it is a culture difference... the state of Arkansas (and the entire midwest) loves their college basketball....
the southeast, not so much.

UGA could have a final 4 team and I doubt you all could even fill your POS arena.

From everything but a fan support aspect - Georgia
- More local talent
- Less Expectations
- Better local scene
But Arkansas certainly destroys UGA from a fan support standpoint. I've lived in Atlanta most of my life and have never ran into 1 UGA fan who gives a shite about basketball. It's kind of creepy almost.

We filled it up with Harrick. We've just had a terrible run of coaches since the Harrick scandal

You have to be kidding me..
going by your list that would mean Georgia is a more attractive job than Kansas or Kentucky.
Come on man.

No, they both have long storied programs who have shown whoever is the coach, they get top recruits nationally. The program recruits itself.
Quite a bit different than Arkansas.

What you did there, I see it.

It wasn't meant as a troll at all... Ark is in a unique position geographically when it comes to sports... it aligns more with the Midwest during bball season and the southeast/Texas during football season.

If the Gym Dogs can sell out every home meet, our basketball program can if we have sustained success.

You really just undermined your whole point with that one.

If you can't call BWA an elite building then you haven't been there, haven't seen it, can't afford cable, satelite or internet. I can mail you a postcard or media guide if you fall into that category.

UGA basketball is a joke, we are the basketball equivalent to Kentucky's football program.
The Steg is a complete piece of shite, we have no tradition, and we have absolutely no loyalty from the fan base.
Arkansas on the other hand has a beautiful facility, fan support, and most impotantly a rich tradition.
I really don't see how this is even debatable.

Georgia fans, my question is with one of the most powerful AAU programs in the U.S. why haven't they hired anyone from that organization. IMO that would be like LSU not recruting the state of La.
