when I was in college it was standard navy blue blazer, khakis and button down and tie for frats and sundresses for girls.

When I was an undergrad, back in the days of dinosaurs, we generally dressed up to go to games, wasn't just the frat guys who wore coats and ties...
today, i wear either a LSU polo or purple button-down collar LSU shirt (need to get a gold one for NOLA)

we don't do frats at A&M so we don't dress up. wear as many wife beaters are you want
