The big oil boys have all tried to be cooks in the Longhorns' kitchen and that is why we have one title in the last 50 years.

It's up there definitely.

I put the ESPN-NBA deal (9 years at $1.4B) where the NBA ratings have been complete garbage the past four seasons and the ESPN/Texas LHN contract (20 years $300M) ahead of the Fisher extension catastrophe in my opinion.

NOTHING will ever top Jones firing a coach that just wonback to back super bowls but yes, moneywise, the Jimbo fiasco is the worst I've ever seen

Still have no idea what they were thinking outside of trying to secure a recruiting battle by proving he wasn't going anywhere.

Damn right he's not.

This is some 3d chess, Woodward dumps a massive poop on A&M football program, bolts and wins a national championship in his first year. Then has two bad years, fires a coach and makes a hire that has the program on an upswing within 6 months of his hire with only 39 scolly players on the roster. Meanwhile, Aggie has a boat anchor of a coach and buyout! Has spent millions of dollars on players and will probably not make a bowl.
