Do you think the fact that teams throw way more on you guys also makes your run defense numbers look better than they actually are? Or are you guys consistently shutting down ballcarriers at the LOS?
Our run defense is great, the best part of our excellent D. We get a lot of pressure on the QB also. We are 5th in the nation in turnover margin and have caused at least one turnover in 40 some straight games, the longest streak in the nation. This is really strength on strength, or irresistible force meets immovable object. Should be fascinating.

I watch all SEC football as much as I can. Mizz is behind A&M and that equals last on my list. I watched the egg bowl from start to finish

Not saying Mizz hasn't got a shot, just saying even if y'all do win...... It's cuz AU was still hung over from the iron bowl

Seriously though, congrats on winning the east and may the best team win.

Changes in our Offense made a huge difference from last year. We were built for life in the B12. Wide OL splits and a TE that was a big WR. Found quicker DEs and tighter DBs in SEC.

We made adjustments. Replaced our OC. Henson has done a great job. OL splits narrowed, and TE now is mainly a blocker. Henson installed a vertical run game, instead of that loop around crap Yost was doing.

Another part of the reason we're here is the team has jelled, and is really tight. There was some finger pointing in last year's frustration. None of that this year.

The injuries from last year actually helped this year. Those injuries translated into PT and experience for many playing this year.

Let me tell you of the more interesting players.

RB Henry Josey, had a devistating knee injury against Texas in 2011. Trifecta knee tears. There was fear he wouldn't walk normally. But we have excellent surgeons that rebuilt his knee.

OL Max Copeland. A walk-on 2yr starter from Billings MT. A heavy metal rock'n roller getting his degree in Physics. A warrior who paints his face up like Braveheart. Has a gash between his eyes that won't heal.

WR LaDamien Washington. Skinny kid from Louisiana. Both parents are dead. Mom died at his HS basketball game. Almost quit the team to support his siblings. A 2star that has emerged as one of our best WRs. Gunner on punts too.

DT Harold Brantley, another 2star from Hershey PA. RS FR and starting DT. Was the starting DT, RB, and KR for his HS team. Ole Miss found out he's fast when he ran 27yrds on a fake punt.
