Provide one team doesn't come out flat and make a bunch of mistakes, all signs point to a very close/competitive game.

I just don't see that, but it wouldn't totally surprise me. They're relatively undersized up the middle and built more for penetration and speed off the corners. Our offense does a great job of punishing teams inside and neutralizing DEs with the zone read.

Mizzou does a great job of getting sacks and TFLs, but they're not a blitz heavy team... I just don't think they'll get those same results without blitzing.

make no mistake... both teams are going to score points.

Are we really undersized, especially by 4-3 standsrds? Our starting DL goes 275, 295, 305, 255. The backups are 260, 290, 315, and 245.

no not really... we've face 3-4 teams the last two games who were bigger on the DL by design, and had some success. Your LBs are also a little lighter than what we've seen of late.

that could end up being a stength for mizzou against our speed... we'll see.

I enjoy stats but they can be a bit misleading.

Alabama was the nation's fourth-ranked rushing defense, Auburn piled up 296 yards rushing with Mason getting 164 yards running straight up the middle. On paper that shouldn't have happened.

I've also seen on paper backfire. UGA has horrible special teams and Auburn has great special teams. So much so that UGA was so spooked they pooch kicked their opening kick off. But at the end of the game they had done a pretty good job and it was Auburn that had miscues. Next game, Auburn had pretty good special teams again with two great punts downed on the one and I think they did a good job when Alabama went to kick FGs. Crap happens.

Both of these teams seem evenly matched. I still think it comes down to coaching then, who adjusts and preps better? I know nothing of the guys west of Auburn who represent the East.
