Oh, well hell. Saban for one. Didn't make a bowl his first year at Bama. PJ Fleck. Art Briles.
Just some off the top of my head. I could find countless others if I took the time. Not at all uncommon for HC to struggle their first year at a school.
He'll, even the great Butch Jones was not immune to this phenomenon

Congrats mizzou ... Going from the worst record in the conference to the top of the east is impressive

That's what we do. Mizzou, bitch.

So Coach Odom will recognize that he sucks, and will make the proper corrections, to insure that he doesn't suck next season? Got it.

Thought you were speaking strictly about Mizzou boys

There are some people getting pretty tough on ole Jesse in this thread. It takes brass balls to jump out a declare an off season championship on January 3rd. That's before signing day, before Spring practice, before the attrition that every team goes through each year.
I say congrats big man for stepping up to the plate and taking your shot.
Now we will see if you can hold the championship belt past spring practice.
PS: The truly ballsy move would have been to go for the SEC championship, not the East. National champ is a foregone conclusion if you win the SEC.

Schedule sets up favorably, will have the best offense in the SEC and Odom has recognized his rookie HC mistake of trying to change the defense and will be returning to DLineZou with a full offseason of preparation.
You can disagree, but you would be wrong.
I do not think Mizzou wins the East next year... but I think they put the fear of Jesus into some teams. 2nd or 3rd finish and a nice bowl game.

If you need a "favorable schedule", are you really who you think you are?
