Congrats. An SEC school beating a Big X school in anything is sweet.

It was a weak win anyway. You won 18-12. Three matches were decided by one point. One was BS stalling. One was a win by a nationally ranked wrestler over Iowa's backup where the difference was a BS call that should have been overturned. One was by your "dominant" national champion that won by riding time with 17 seconds to go. Anyone of those go the other way and its 15-15 and would have been decided my a major decision that likely goes Iowa's way.

Cool, now how far to the NCAA's or is Iowa the beginning of the NCAA's?

(wrestling is a sport I just don't know much about)

All those years listed the NCAA recognizes Auburn as National Champions. Auburn only claims 1957 and 2010

You know what the NCAA won't recognize as National Champions? The winners of the National Duals Finals...

This was the last of the team vs team matches for the season. Next week the conferences have tournaments to determine their respective individual qualifiers for the national tournament.

The national individual tournament is in a couple weeks.

The NCAA tournament is March 19-21 in St. Louis
The meet today has nothing to do with whatever team wins the national championship

So much humor here!

"Anyone of those goes the other way and its 15-15"

Try....All three of those go the other way......

2 completely different styles.

This was the National title for dual meet style where it is school versus school, with the school advancing.

The tourney style meet is in March where it is individuals versus individuals advancing to determine who wins the national championship at an individual weight class. The schools then get awarded points as each individual advances and there will be a national champion for that tourney style meet. Obviously, the key will be to get as many wrestlers qualified for that style of meet as possible. Iowa will get 10 qualified. Hoping Mizzou gets 10 qualified. You miss out qualifying individually and you're obviously completely missing out on the opportunity to rack up points in a tourney style meet.

The NCAA tournament is in a couple weeks. It determines the team and individual champions. Cute how you're trying to downplay it in favor of this
