Thought this might be of interest, especially to SEC East teams, plus Bama and A&M. Dave Matter has a local column and usually offers good, unbiased coverage of Mizzou football. This is his look at our QB situation for 2012.

didn't realize Franklin had such a good year. That's good news for y'all.

He was shaky at times, definitely a first year starter. Should be better this year. A solid group of receivers and his running ability will help. We had several fast, young receivers redshirt, looking forward to seeing how they pan out.

Does that mean Franklin's production will suffer in the SEC? Impossible to know at this point. Maybe any drop-off will be neutralized by Franklin's natural improvements as a second-year starter and some changes in personnel and strategy the Tigers make this fall, i.e., a certain rookie receiver from Springfield.

....No. The natural improvements from Franklin does not in any way measure up to the difference in defensive talent he will face. Jarvis Jones will eat his children come week 2.

Defense in the SEC is not the same as in the little 12, and they are a lot quicker.
