I'm curious as to what the Missouri fanbase's response will be- I would love to see no one in the stands for the rest of the year

That would ensure them not getting another black player ever. The ones they have currently would be encourage to transfer and would be welcomed with open arms to other programs. In all likely hood, it would have spilled over to the basketball team as well. So basically Mizzou would set it school back to the 40s with race relations and athletics would be at an all time low.

i honestly feel sorry for their fans. i've been embarrassed by coaches and some player actions before but on a whole different level than this. i can't even imagine.

I can't imagine being a fan of that school right now. This is about as embarrassing as you can get.

Whatever happened to coaches not allowing themselves to fricking bow down to players. At a certain point, recruiting means nothing.

maybe the coaches legitimately agreed with the players. apparently the Mizzou faculty agreed with them since a walkout was planned for today and tomorrow.

What president would survive that? If he stuck around just to "show it to dem SJWs!!11!!" like most on here wanted, he would be greatly harming the university and acting counter to his obligations as the President.

Well that's not really the point. He was a scapegoat because they were unhappy about some isolated incidents around campus.

A head coach that can't even get an offense to score more than one touchdown in more than one month of playing football games.

But they didn't.... it was to save recruiting. The coaches were just as cornered as Wolfe was.

Because of the reports of coaches saying exactly that, from the mouths of actual players

What could the coaches have possibly done? This is what happens when the real money makers (the players) in a Billion Dollar business recognize the power they actually have. They had an issue with something going on at the school, they took a stand and they got their desired result.

IMO, college fans are completely different than pro fans. People love watching CFB because they love the teams and the school. We could go to an Ivy League system and the stands would still be full.

Racism will never die. But willfully ignoring it as a university president is dying a fast death.

Other SEC school presidents better take notice, and I mean quick.
