Im not trying to pill on the zoo but how the hell could your football recruiting be so damn bad
Missouri
5* = 0
4* = 0
3* = 20
Missouri
5* = 0
4* = 0
3* = 20

Two majors cities all to themselves, also. Never understood the lack of recruiting.

They don't really have those two cities to themselves though. They are both right on the border with other states. So St. Louis is a battleground with Illinois and Kansas City is a battleground with (not surprising given the name) the Kansas schools (and Oklahoma probably fishes in those waters as well).
Take away those two big cities and Missouri is closer to someplace like Arkansas in population. So the kids growing up as Missouri fans tend to come from the more rural areas of the state which have smaller populations.
That having been said, this is just a crappy year for Missouri high school football players for whatever reason. From what I understand the next couple of years should be filled with good talent.

But they cant pull ONE recruit higher than a 4*? Not even 1?
I know its just numbers but it represents a bigger issue

At most there are 5 or 6 4* rated athletes in Missouri every year. Other than Elliott, can you name one that was an impact player that went to another school? Adrian Claiborne and Monte Ball are the only other two that really come to mind. MU has lost far more BBall talent than FB talent.
MU's success will always ride on player development and a two deep flush with 4th and 5th year players because the instate talent pool doesn't support anything else.

Was pretty much like this throughout Pinkel's era too.
