Out of all of those teams, the Cardinals are the only ones worth a shite.

Idk man, Blues have the all time record for making playoffs of any sport, they have a strong fanbase... and are currently pretty good. Chiefs have a strong loyal fanbase.

And I'm not sure current contender status is a factor, the question at hand is entertainment options. 5 major league teams versus 0 is pretty damn significant.

I've lived a few other places besides Fayetteville. I've gone to plenty of NFL, NHL, and NBA games.

But given a choice, I would have always preferred to be at an SEC football game.

Hell, I'd rather be at an SEC baseballl game than an NBA game.

And for the record, the only Missouri entertainment I've sought in my life was at a fully nude titty bar across the state line in Anderson County. I don't count my trip to Silver Dollar City as I only did it so I could be considered a good uncle.

Did you go to the spring game in Columbia or not?

Or were you chilling next to Arrowhead, one of MOs awesome entertainment options?

Thank you. Haven't been to a Super Bowl since the 60's and the fanbase is still strong. Also had 15+ years of sell outs until the NFL had the Chiefs playing the Browns/Bengals in fricking December when it was under 10 degrees and both teams sucked. Broke their streak.

I guess the fine souther folks in Carolina, FLA, TX, an TN are all yankees too because they have hockey teams. Good logic man.

As a message board fan, surely you are one of the most passionate MU/UM fans. You didn't even go to the spring game???

If you're going to troll, at least try to make a little sense and it would help if you knew a little bit about what actually went down with the BIG.

My memory may be faulty but irc, once the ESPN/Longhorn Network Deal was announced everybody in the Big 12 got their panties in a wad and started kicking up a fuss about leaving. Mizzou called the B1G and Jim Delany put them on hold while he waited for a better option to arise. The better option turned out to be Nebraska and Mizzou had to remain in Bevo's shadow for another year until aTm decided to bolt for the SEC and Mizzou tagged along because they had no where else to go

I may have left out some details but that's how I recall things went down. It's not a knock on Mizzou and yall seem like really nice people who were not as prepared for the SEC as was initially believed.

If we'd have gone to the Big Ten as we should have, this wouldn't even be a discussion since every state except Iowa would have pro teams. more important states have pro teams.

All there is to it.

Hurricanes are garbage

Lightning and Panthers are garbage

Stars are rancid garbage that Tom Hicks ran into the ground

Predators are garbage

Cool.. so you've been to a titty bar and a shitty 'amusement park'... glad you've concluded all you need to conclude about a state from those two experiences. Nice.

I'm getting a little confused (perfect quote material).

I'm not sure what those teams level of contention has anything to do with the context of this conversation. You graduate HS man?

Woah, woah, woah....

You guys are saying that the reason your fanbase is so apathetic bout Mizzou sports is because of all of the other fine sporting options in Missouri.

Now its because you're above college sports?

Damn, no wonder Porker shreds you punks so frequently and with such ease. Kinda fun to watch. If you could see it from this side, you wouldn't need Mizzou sports, either.

Ohio has the Cavaliers, Blue Jackets, Indians, Reds, and Bengals.

Negative.

Mizzou was negotiating with the Big Ten on the buy-in process to the Big Ten Network/Junior Membership.

Nebraska, having no other option and being equally fricked but the LHN, said they'd take the junior membership and fricked us over.

Mizzou always had a second option, especially after the aTM thing. (we caused the situation, remember?).

funny how Slive mentioned so many times we were an equal member from day one. Didn't mention it much with aTm, did he?

You can also say the same for Utah, Nebraska, Colorado, and WVU. All of them had it rough the first years in a new conference. aTm is the only team that tore it up.

No, its just that Missouri isn't some grand draw of entertainment and leisure to me here in Fayetteville.

I've had the CPK at the St. Louis airport several times, too. I have probably spent the majority of my Missouri travel dollars there on layovers, TBH.
