Can we expect some hotels to open up around the Georgia Dome as teams are eliminated from the Championship Game? Or are they just full of Bama folks?
Those are all snapped up by Bama fans by now. Your best bet is to check and see if there are any homes in Bankhead on airbnb that you can rent out for the weekend. Pittsburgh or Mechanicsville would work too.

Look North, around Chamblee/Dunwoody/Doraville area, you'll find something up there. If you choose to brave the Marta trains, you won't have to take a car down to the Dome and you'll have about a 30 minute trip down to the Dome before game time. I hear it's pure HELL trying to fight hoards of folks on the Marta post-game though.

I imagine you'd see a lot travel down just to get away from that awful Northern winter they have to deal with in December.

You are asking the wrong question
Mizzou to ATL would be a demand game, but the real question is what premium would Mizzou fans part with to attend the game?
Think of basketball and the value of ATL if say Kentucky is playing Arkansas in the Pitino / Richardson era vs Ole Miss vs South Carolina. Alabama heading to ATL will drive the price up but will Mizzou fans match that and drive up further or will they sell out and cause the price to fall. Alabama football and Kentucky basketball travel like no other. When I see a question like the OP has asked it looks like a question of how high will Mizzou fans go for a ticket to the game is the real question.

I'd be surprised if Mizzou had more than 30% fans. I think they'd sell their allotment but the actual schools don't get a ton if I remember correctly. A ton are given out to Atlanta business/corporate sponsors and those usually favor Georgia or Bama. We still have a big majority when we play LSU in the game.

I'm not sure how the allotment works for that game, but we would sell that out and then some.
Not sure what the allotments are for this year but many of the tickets were bought well before the season even started. Last year year the cheapest ticket on Stub Hub was around 400 and good seats may be double or triple that number. Last year Georgia was right there and Alabama travels so the ticket price shot up. Alabama may be back (and Auburn has lots of alum in ATL if they are in) so the West demand should be high.
What price (beyond the allotment) would the Mizzou folks pay to "outbid" Bama fans for the seats? If price is no object the stadium could be 50 / 50 but if Mizzou fans will only spend face or below face then the stands could easily swing 75 / 25 with Crimson being the dominant color.
It is times like this when you begin to understand why I discuss attendance all the time in threads. If Kentucky drops out early in the SEC tournament the place turns to a ghost town. If they are in the final you can expect to see 90 / 10 blue in the arena. In baseball the SEC west teams drive the market so the farther they advance the better the numbers look. Vandy has good baseball but LSU drives the price up not the Dores. I was at a Final Four the Lady Vlos were in and had extra tickets for a cousin who could not go in the upper deck that went for about 800 each.
The craziest was when the Hogs were in the CheckerDome in 78' and a guy from UK parted with 2 grand and a Caddy for his tickets. If you are a guest you don't sell but I can tell you it is tempting when you see that stuff happening. With Mizzou so far I just do not get that "price is no object" vibe from the fans I have met in person.

I will be there if we make it. But won't we be the farthest from campus any fanbase has ever had to travel to the SEC title game? For that reason alone there will be a numbers drop off from usual, I would expect. On the otherhand the novelty and sheer joy of actually being there will be a big deal to our fanbase, so the hype factor could negate the distance somewhat.

This kinda thing is probably going to be the biggest issue for our fanbase *if* we were to make it there. *Nobody* in our camp expected to be there, so none of us have planned for it, whereas Bama types justifiably plan for at least the possibility on the regular. We also have no idea where we'd be going, what the places to stay are, what the routine is etc. And, for Mizzou fans who don't have a ton of money to spend on two separate flights in the Holiday season, it might come down to deciding between spending money to travel and see us get prison raped by Bama or spending the money on a later flight to some potentially really good bowl game, be it Sugar or Cotton or Capitol One or Chick-fil-a or whatever it is.

Part of this is true, but even the folks not expecting to be there can get a spot but they have to pay a premium to buy in late.

but there were empty seats for their game with FL this past weekend
Umm, no. It was a "announced" sellout and there were at least 3K more there.
Mizzou would travel very well for this game, especially if we are still undefeated.

The corporate tickets favor the east side. In Bama/mizzou it would go to Bama

We'd gladly sell Arkansas to pay for it.
