That is cold
Nah, 51 isn't cold! That's good football weather, especially if it's sunny! Single digit temps with a foot of snow on the ground is cold, but that's basketball season, so don't worry about it.
You're entitled to your opinions on what constitutes north and south, and I'm entitled to mine. Missouri isn't deep-south, but once you visit, I'd be surprised if you thought it was more like New England than Dixie.
And what you describe for January in NOLA would be sweatshirt weather, maybe a jacket at night, for me. We're lucky to make it out of the 30s in the middle of the day in January!

Porker Face answered the "is Missouri Northern" question pretty clearly. Anyone who calls coke either "pop" or "soda" isn't Southern, and should have their arse kicked every time they do so.

Anyone who defines north versus south by soft drink name preferences fingers his butthole in the closet...

That was part of the reason I moved back to NOLA from VA.
I won't begin to try and say what the feel of people is in MO, because I have never been. I do at some point want to make up for a LSU-Mizzou game(lord knows when that may be). I will say as a bartender on Bourbon St, I met some really nice people from St. Louis and MO.
And for your schedule. I will go with 7-9 wins.

You think the SEC planned it this way for a reason?
they got fricked. It gets cold in NW Arky and Lexington in Nov as well.

Not sure how else you mean?
I'm not really trying to make a huge distinction here. All I'm trying to say is that if someone from northwest Arkansas went to southern Missouri, they would probably say it was southern. But I'm willing to bet that if someone from Alabama or Georgia was dropped into southern Missouri they would not say it was southern. Just like they say Arkansas isn't southern when they come up here.
ETA: for the rest of you, that coke/pop/soda graph is pretty common on here

Well this thread derailed into a stupid argument quickly.
This absolutely does not matter. Call us whatever the hell you want.
