It's sad that Mizzou enjoys trolling Mizzou fans. There's no reason it should've taken this long.

In all honesty, maybe they were looking at Marshall and/or Howland and it just didn't pan out. That makes the most sense for such a lengthy timeline.

@GoodmanESPN 19s
Fairly certain Mike Alden just shelled out about $50K to a search firm to hire ….. Kim Anderson.

I honestly just think no one wants to touch Howland right now.

Greg Marshall made zero sense unless Mizzou was willing to drop a TON of money. He returns a top 10 team next year.

It is a tough climate to hire in right now with so many possible good jobs opening up. Louisville, UNC, Syracuse, and Duke are all being coached by some old men. Indiana and Texas may fire their coaches soon.

It's not too bad. Bruce Pearl coached at UWM, which is, and was, barely a D1 school. They were hardly better than a D2 school, honestly. There's no reason Mr. (Ms.? I don't want to offend) Anderson couldn't be successful.

This guy missed the DII NCAA Tourney 5 of his 12 years at UCM.

Should fit in nicely at Mizzou.

This is another example of what I mentioned to you a few days ago about Loftin, when you said he'd make the hire and that it would be huge: The guy is not a micromanager. He's never going to make these hires. Your AD clearly felt that the Mizzou alum was the right guy for you. Loftin would've backed his opinion.

Dude, DII is a whole different beast.

If you can succeed there... You might be named Kim...?

I've got nothing...

I wonder if they considered Steve Hesser during the search process as well.

KIm Anderson was probably their first choice considering they have administrators that want Mizz to be a basketball school.
