Yeah I have a feeling the Morgantown internet rumors are a lot like the Gainsville ones. Everyone talks about how both are hellholes but I found the 2012 trip to Florida a blast and the people were very friendly. I may make the WV trip and hope it will be the same.

When we use to play VT it got rowdy but nowadays it's a pretty friendly atmosphere to visiting teams.

Drop by the blue lot and you'll get tons of food and beer offers. So try and make the trip!

Why? I have not heard one fan base who has said good. things about Morgantown. Both old Big 12 fans as well as SEC fans who have been there.

Sounds like you all have an image problem more than anothing else.

Nah, the vast majority of Big 12 fans have enjoyed their times in Morgantown and when I was in school we had home and homes with Auburn and LSU and their fans around us seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Most of the horror stories are completely embellished.

Considering most people don't know or care about the ARWU, yet the AAU is a respected research association

Yes and no

it is like a club that once you get in, you don't get kicked out. Nebraska was the first, and the Huskers were in the group of school that got in about a century ago - like Kansas and Mizzou - who have not kept up since. Perhaps Mizzou and Kansas will be next.

ARWU is based on year to year so early AAU schools can fall behind and better modern schools can advance ahead.

Here is the USA ARWU list for 2014 with just B1G and SEC schools

8 University of Chicago (former B1G)
15 The Johns Hopkins University (added to B1G for Lacrosse)
17 University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
18 University of Wisconsin - Madison
20 Northwestern University
20 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
22 University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
30 University of Maryland, College Park
34 Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick
35 Vanderbilt University (Ger Ders!)
37 Pennsylvania State University - University Park
38 Purdue University - West Lafayette
40 The Ohio State University - Columbus
44 University of Florida (Go Gata!)
51 Texas A & M University (Yell Leaders Wonder twins)
52 Georgia Institute of Technology (former SEC)
53-64 Indiana University Bloomington
53-64 Michigan State University
65-77 The University of Georgia (not AAU but better than Mizzou)

78-104 Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge
78-104 University of Kansas
78-104 University of Kentucky
78-104 University of Missouri - Columbia
78-104 University of Nebraska - Lincoln
78-104 University of South Carolina - Columbia
78-104 University of Tennessee - Knoxville

(Congrats Mizzou is tied with Nebraska, Kansas, and several middle SEC schools and Indiana still beats the pants off of all of them. Now I have to go wash my hand for having to defend Indiana.

It had to do with the previous post about the AAU

Man, not my fault you lost to Indiana in football and academics. I would suggest instead of being obtuse the response was rather pointed. Maybe you are just too slow to catch on.

Again, this is a thread about Missouri playing a home and home with WVU.

It's not about Indiana. Not until you bring it up that is...

No way, West Virginia could not get in the B1G with the academic requirements. Probably not as bad for Missouri but pretty sure Indiana is the bottom of the ARWU for the B1G and they still beat Missouri pretty badly.

But yeah, you don't troll. Nor do you ever look to do it specifically in a thread regarding Mizzou.

You fricking ball washer.

Dude, you lost to Indiana!

It is not like I am the only one to ever raise this issue on the Rant.

Pretty sure everybody has chimed in on Mizzou losing to Indiana.

Again. The title of the thread is...

"Mizzou has scheduled a home/home series with WVU"

Please tell me what losing to Indiana has to do with that. Also, please cite evidence that you didn't specifically come into this thread with full the intention of trolling it with Indiana.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around this, because we're all just making up this "Grits trolls Mizzou incessantly" stuff.

Right?

Dude, you were the ones responsible for getting my icon and txt reset, I am just trying to be more like some of the Mizzou posters.

And if you are seriously sidestepping that your "lost to Indiana" is not as common as something like "Bert is fat" then it is you who are trying to reverse toll me.

I guess when the Hoosiers beat you in academics and athletics it must hurt deep down and you have to displace all that anger and aggression somewhere. Buck up little champion, maybe tomorrow will be another day.

I would add basketball, but pretty sure the Tigers have yet to win a game against Crean, Not sure what the record before that was.

Now I have to take a shower after reading some Indiana stats.

This isn't about the loss to Indiana. It happened, life goes on.

This is about you claiming innocence while pointing fingers at others in regards to trolling.

You're trolling here, and you've been caught red handed.

DWI.

Make sure to get all the grits out of your cheesy vag during your shower.

You are so angry when I just return the favor.

You lose to IU in football, basketball, and academics and you get mad at me for just stating the obvious. You crack me up man.

Think about this for a second you are arguing with a person old enough to be your grandfather on a friday night. When I was your age I was out getting wild and getting laid. That is the problem with you kids today, all that free sex and you are on here or playing video games.

Now get off my lawn!

Oh really? I spend the afternoon and evening with a bunch of SEC players from the 50's, 60's and 70's swapping stories and you had to work. Now I am just bored and nothing good on TV to watch.

I win!
