Mauk is going to rip the SECe to shreds. The kid is a straight up baller. Unless Pinkel stays stupid and somehow keeps benching him next year (for reasons unknown, Pinkel just being Pinkel) I think they win the East again next year.

Football is all about QB play. UGA replacing Murray, USC replacing Shaw, UF needing to replace Driskel but can't. It's Mizzou's for the taking.

We lose several, but with the way we rotated players we still have plenty of experience coming back. I'm most worried about the leadership we're losing. It's more than the talent - some of the guys graduating were the real heart and soul of the team. Our captains were very strong. It'll be interesting to see who steps into that role next season.

This would worry me more. LSU fans said the same thing last offseason. If we have a semblance of the 2012 defense this year we only lose to Bama (IMO), and that would have been more of a toss-up. Interestingly enough our defense finished 3rd in the SEC but at times played like A&M.

On topic: Mizzou should be ranked but it's not always bad to fly under the radar.

The point about losing some leadership is valid. I think we'll take a step back defensively but I don't think it will be a huge step (it won't be an A&M step back )

Franklin's NFL draft rating was 0.

I recommend a cautiously optimistic outlook. I never thought LSU would struggle so much on defense this year, but I also didn't expect our offense to take such huge steps forward. Good luck, other tigers.

It seems LSU just can't put a complete team on the field.

I'm cautiously optimistic. If guys like Evan Boehm (center), Marcus Golden and Shane Ray (DEs), and others can step into those leadership roles, I'll be more optimistic.

Meh, some ESPN hack who didn't do his research. Happens everyday.

But if the AP and the Coaches poll leave them off, then that is a real problem as it has an actual impact

Good thing that poll doesn't count for anything. They could rank boston college #1 and alabama #100 and it'd mean as much as missouri not being there on January frickin 7th.

I don't think we're on each other's schedules yet. If they go to a 9-game schedule, it'll be sooner.

And WG?
