I don't know what's responsible for the change from last season to this one, but I never understood why anyone thought Pinkel needed to be fired. He's done a great job at Missouri and one bad year doesn't make a bad head coach.

The main reason is his lackluster recruiting.

There was also a lot of discontent with the OC Yost last year. Some of his play calls were questionable and right or wrong, he opened himself up for criticism with the way he dressed and looked sometimes.

He doesn't look all that old. Is his health an issue?

In the past he has indicated that his current contract which runs through 2017 would be his last.

Sorry, but Yost pretty much sucked as offensive coordinator. Under him, the third down conversion rate really dropped from his predecessor. It is back up under Henson.

Yost calling 5 wide sets all the time at the goal line was beyond frustrating.

Every other year they want to fire him. My husband is a Mizzou law school grad and I'm a grad from Arkansas. We've had season tickets to both Ark and Mizzou for 20+ years. Pinker got Mizzou Competing again but has off the field issues He loves his "JUMBO" glasses of wine; and trips to Lake of the Ozarks; not knockin him or judging him for that I like wine and the lake also.

All kidding aside I think he's a good coach and fit for Mizzou. My husband thinks he will never get Mizzou over the humphis and is good for 8-10 wins a season most years. Last year Mizzou was banged up most of the season. I thought Mizzou would surprise people in the SEC. I'm glad to see them doing just that this year, congrats and cheers to Pink Slip, the team and the Mizzou fans
