Mizzou fans, do you consider your Kansas rivalry as worse than Bama/Auburn

Mizzou vs Kansas seems to be just a border altercation between two mediocre big 12 teams. Where as bama vs auburn is an instate war, brother vs brother if you will. And fought for higher standing in the best conference in America.

What say the mizzou faithful?

Mizzou-Kansas is really a basketball rivalry. The Basketball games rivals Duke-UNC, Lville-UK as best in the country. If you're talking about football, it's heated but not quite as intense as bball. Mostly b/c Kansas normally sucks. Arrowhead Armaggedon in 2007 was huge exception though. Game of the Year in College Football.

Real hate comes when both teams have nothing to play for other than hate.

No one says our old rivalry was "more important." We simply noted we hated each other with the fire of a thousand suns.

This has been a Yankee PSA.

Their basketball, especially Kansas, is anything but mediocre. But yes, Auburn-Alabama is a bigger rivalry

Until several hundred people are killed in another rivalry, MU/ku stands above all others.

Kansas owned Mizzou at basketball. Such a lopsided affair.

It is. It is a lot like how clemson owns USC in football.

Can you name another rivalry involving burning an entire town to the ground and battles that resulted in the deaths of several hundred people from both sides?

Were Alabama and Auburn ever at war with each other? I mean, REAL WAR, as in shooting each other and dead people?

Mizzou v. KU may not be the biggest rivalry in NCAA sports, but don't act like there is a single rivalry (the fricking longhorns included) that is more real or "WORSE" than one that involved armed conflict.

Yeah. Those barnburners from the 30s are amazing.

Norm Stewart was 33-41 against KU, including 3 straight years beating them in CoMo when they were ranked top 5.

I'm glad some Mizzou posters chimed in, but it will do no good. This is more than likely just a troll thread. We are new here, and most Ranters simply never experienced the true hate between our schools, nor care to understand. One, because it's an old Big8/12 rivalry. Two, it's just little ole Mizzou and they bring nothing to the table so it's dismissed without further thought. And three, in their minds, everything and I mean everything is bigger and better in the SEC, regardless.

I love being in the SEC, but man, so many Ranters are pretty narrow minded individuals.

Yeah. Don't sweat it, Mizzou fans. Most Americans simply have ZERO knowledge of history. You can't expect them to understand the true nature of this type of rivalry.

It is, but they will narrow the timeline similar to how aggy narrows it with Texas to satisfy their delusions as being equals on the field of play.

I've experienced it first hand, and there is no other rivalry like it. I was at the last football game between the 2 and in Lawrence for the last basketball game.
