You'd need a cool historic connection and a boss trophy for it to be considered a rivalry. Everyone knows that. Those are the rules.
I like the name though.

Between now and 28 August it is all about SCAR and A&M.
You're feeling left out. Your game with A&M never generated this much exposure. So you're reaching-out trying to make the border game with Arkansas fill the void in your heart, all the while knowing that your game with Arkansas is likely to fall into a pit of insignificance. Barely an afterthought around the league.
I think the name is worthy ... you might be able to build on that eventually. You just need a trophy more befitting of the sport in which it might actually develop into a rivalry.
Basketball ... make the most of it. It's what you've got to deal with, so continue to play the hand you've been dealt. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the name. The Missouri chapters of the Arkansas Alumni Association are throwing a big pregame tailgate in the Hearnes Center and that's what we're calling it. Someone else on one of the alumni boards came up with it, not me. I pitched the Battle for Branson. While it got numerous laughs it ultimately was not selected
