I heard you could stay there for a free get-away weekend...but you had to listen to a BLM presentation.

o, here's what we do: use Section 8 to move people from Ferguson, MO, St. Louis, heck Chicago, Memphis to Missouri.

Columbia put up resistances to having a speed train connecting Kansas City to St. Louis because they didn't want more of the undesirables. That was a ways back now though.

Do guests get a mini fridge and microwave to go along with the twin size beds?

It is just a fact. Missouri high schools are not graduating near as many kids the last two years. I get you don't like that but it is a fact and Missouri relies heavily on in state students.

Guests will stay in a furnished two-bedroom suite with four single beds for $120/night plus tax. Parking is available for an additional cost.

That's actually pretty cool. I don't see how it's any worse than having an on-campus hotel, like LSU does.

Might have to go up there. I would imagine there are quite a few ladies stuck there that need a real man.

You know, that could be considered a duty of all concerned MEN from the SEC. Take a roadie to Mizzou, rent out every available dorm, advertise and charge a nominal fee to impregnate the next generation of Mizzerite women with straight up manly semen.

Sounds crazy but this is the away game my group selected this year. Booked our flights last night. The dorm rooms are probably just as nice as half the crappy hotel rooms available and more affordable and convenient to the stadium. Looking forward to the game. War Eagle!

I agree. UK hasn't decided what to do with these two buildings on campus. It would be great to turn them into hotels for sports crowds, visiting profs, parents, etc.

I feel sorry for them. It's sad to see anything they touch" ruined by a liberal progressive administration and social justice warriors.

I wish LSU would do that...I could relive my youth. Is Kirby still standing?

it is actually the newer dorms that got closed

as much as people want to make it about the protests, the drop is from demographics. MO high schools are shrinking and graduating classes shrank drastically. There just aren't any MO kids to fill the place. This was seen coming about 3-4 years ago.

So they knew the lower enrollment was coming and still built the new dorms that they aren't going to open? Sounds about right...

A crap ton, like half of the fans drive at least two hours home after the game, because staying the night in unrealistic. That is, if you dont mind paying around $350 a night. Thats a big issue with the location of columbia to stl and kc. Along with the lack of hotels. The city and mizzou needed to find a way to keep some of the fans in the city for the whole weekend. Everyone knows thats how you get fans to the games, not by forcing them to drive hours right after.

I used to drive three hours each way from Nashville the "Big Orange Caravan" having free dorm rooms for this is shameful, I find it hard to believe that hotel developers ignore a need. You don't see other small town schools in the SEC needing or having the capacity to do this.

Before you slam me, I was born in MO and actually attended Mizzou for a year and a half.

Dawg, I was not aware you were allow to post on this site unless your team has been in an SEC championship in the past 5 years.

You got it wrong, you have to have won an SEC championship, you should stop posting now.

this is actually a fricking great thing. The dorm is really, really nice too. This is ideal for young alums

$120 a night with 4 single beds? Sounds like a rip off. When they say suite, does that mean two rooms share a bathroom? Also pay for parking?

Idk about all that.
