Mizzou AD Mack Rhoades would run a train on any other SEC AD

Mack Rhoades is playing everyone like a fiddle, nobody knows what's going on except Mack Rhoades due in part to the lack of a search firm being used for hiring process. The only thing the media knows about the search so far is Rhoades has reached out to Temple coach Matt Rhule, interviewed our DC Barry Odom, interviewed Utah State coach Matt Wells, and have had exploratory talks with Mark Richt. None of these candidates are inspiring except Odom and Richt, but why interview the other two coaches nobody else seems to have interst in? The answer is quite simple really, if Odom was going to get the job it would have already been offered so this indicates Odom is our fallback plan. Richt has interviewed for the Mizzou job back in 2000, so he may be interested, and is still evaluating his options. Rhodes is channeling his inner ninja laying some massive smoke screens so nobody figures out what he is really up to. There are three candidates Rhoades has his eyes on; UNC head coach Larry Fedora, Houston head coach Tom Herman, and finally TCU head coach Gary Patterson. Rhoades has several connections in Texas, and Patterson could be looking to move now that he has taken TCU as far as he can. Herman still has yet to sign his extension, and Fedora could be looking to move due to sanctions. Well placed sources have indicated should Herman turn Rhoades down after AAC title game, Rhoades will give an offer to TCU coach Patterson he simply can't refuse.

Either Tom Herman will turn down Mizzou, or Gary Patterson will be the new head coach
