I've been pulling for an undefeated season for UK. Y'all are fun to watch. No doubt.

Good game Cats and best of luck all year.

The refs cost us the game.

I'm admittedly torn about potentially going undefeated.

I feel like this team, like 2012, could benefit from a loss. They'll have to show me they can consistently play like they did tonight before I'm convinced they'll be ok headed into the NCAA Tournament.

Just glad it's over. It could of been worse I suppose.

I hear ya Belle and the value of a loss. I do think this is a team with the makeup though that can pull it off without a loss. I also think they Cal will have them more than inspired in the tourney. These guys want to be special and they will be.

Maybe so. Gotta work on that offense though.

They are without a doubt one of the best defensive teams I've seen, maybe ever.

This reminds me of a high school game where we played a team with 3 kids going to D1 schools in the next 2 years. Our tallest kid could grab the rim. Their front line went 6'8", 6'6" and 6'5". We lost like 85-24.

Similar talent gap.

I see your point, Belle, but I so want UK to take the record away from IU, especially after that debacle in Bloomington in 2012.

I'm not even sure there is anything our team can learn from this. Kentucky is just astronomically better. I think it's one of those games you just have to totally forget about and never speak about again.

I have a buddy who is a stat freak and texts me random UK stats all the time. This one was a little mindblowing for me:

This Kentucky team has set the school record for most games allowing 55 points or less in a season in the shot clock era (12). And they've only played 16 games.

That's exactly what happened when my dad decided to sign up our little west county team of misfits to play Anthony Bonner's AAU team. But we didn't make it to 24.

I'd feel better about it if defensive 3 seconds existed in CBB. Teams love packing it in against Kentucky and that leads them to shooting way too many jumpers at times.

Maybe like the interviews that Chris Farley did on SNL, where'd he be like "that was awesome." That was our team looking at UK.

"Remember when you dunked on me and I ended up on a poster? That was awesome."

That's crazy. I can't remember if it was a final stat or just one late in the game, but it blew my mind that against kansas y'all had as many blocked shots as they had made FG's. Just nuts.

True. Two things that need to happen though:

More hi/low with Booker at the perimeter
More 15 footers for Lyles.
