Is this worth a watch? Saw the preview and it looked pretty interesting. I'd forgotten how quickly he fell off the map. I know a lot of political shite was going on at Arky at the time.

Why is there a documentary about a highly rated failed college QB?

It's a time killer for sure. Most Arkansas fans knew everything about it, but it would probably be interesting to an outsider to know how screwed up Nutt actually was/is.

Screw Nutt for running him off. He was undefeated as a starter and we could have potentially played for a national championship if Nutt hadn't gotten his feelings hurt that Malzahn and Mustain were smarter than he was. I'm still pissed about how it all went down.

Thanks a lot Arky for salivating so much over that guy to give our idiot head coach his opportunity

Why would a failed college QB be doing a documentary about Amazon Prime?

He wasn't good on the college level. An overhyped product of a high school system which was stacked with talent.Wasn't good here and had no shot at USC.

I hoped he would do well, but after watching him at the high school all star game when he couldn't hit a simple out route to a receiver, then got his head down,I knew we were screwed....

Mildly interesting if you were around during 05 - 06.

End of the day though it's not that unusual for high rated prospects not to be that good. Happens in Florida and Texas all the time but there is a lot more going on there than college football and a lot more talent coming in so you don't have an entire fan base putting their hopes on one kid.

Nutt also ran a straight up circus and had been protected by the NWA media for years. The constant proppign up of Nutt by the media whipped average fans into a frenzy.

Definitely the product of a high school offensive system. Crazy to think a coach is mildly successful in the SEC with that offense.

Looked a little better than mildly successful when they ran up 56 points on Arkansas this year.

But he had a really cool name. That is half the battle in recruiting rankings. Fred White does have the same ring as Bo Scarborough or Joshua Kaindoh. Remember when everyone wanted Shavar Manuel and then he decommitted on signing day and didn't qualify? Makes no difference on the field but plays a huge role in the average fans mind. Tiger Woods is far more intimidating than Eldrick sp?

By big win do you mean the SEC Championship he won? Not that I could expect you to relate to such a thing.

Not sure why. Your coach has had less sucess against him than any other SEC coach. I could see a UGA, LSU or Bama fan with that sentiment, but it seems like an Arkansas fan would be ready for him to move along (much like I was with Richt and Miles).

I watched this several months back. I didn't know much about Mustain other than seeing him play that one year and that he was highly recruited.
I always kinda feel bad for kids that are highly recruited and fail.

But, after watching that documentary I came away thinking that Mitch Mustain was kind of an uppity titty baby. While I think they were trying to do just the opposite in the doc. Irony

You could do a documentary on a failed 5 star QB every year. I personally don't wish Blake Barnett to be the subject of one.

This thing came out in 2013?

I want to watch but I don't want to pay.

Didn't a bunch of Springdale parents bust up into Broyles' office and demand more playing time for their kids?
