Maybe, it's smaller but looks a little better IMO.

Our stadium sucks really. You'll get no argument from me or any other Mizzou fan I wouldn't think.

I wish we would have just built a new one, but we are going the renovation route. Like I said, once the South EZ project is done it should be much better.

It certainly isn't the largest or the best, but it's bigger than most realize. 71 - 75K. Next expansion phase will push attendance above 80,000.

I'm fine with that.

Not everyone is Tennessee or A&M. That kind of attendance takes time.

But y'all already know that.

Our previous logo was a blatant ripoff of the Clemson tiger paw with the Michigan "M" stuck on it. I was always surprised we didn't get sued by both schools.

The cool one before that and sometimes simultaneous to it was this one from the 1980s and maybe earlier, it didn't translate very well to shirts and hats cuz its such a detailed painting but its pretty badass (only finding black and white online, can't seem to find it in color). Even just a modernized or simplified version of this I think would be a pretty cool direction to go.

Also FWIW:
* The Tennessee T is ugly as frick.
* The neon orange is ugly as frick.
* When people across the country think UT they all think Texas Longhorns.

That is all.

Not sure what their doing but It'd look cool if they bowled in the open end up to the "M" on both sides with seats, leaving some grass & the "M", not as high as the EZ on the right in that pic, but level with where the concourses come in on the sidelines....

I wouldn't say it sucks necessarily, grass is always greener. I was just in Kyle Field this weekend and while the closed in vertical nature makes it much louder, its also...even with the renovations...ugly as frick. When you are actually physically there *at* Mizzou's stadium, the green and the rock M and the close up sight lines are all nice things we kinda take for granted. I am not being a homer when I say that aesthetically Mizzou's Faurot Field and our sports park complex in general just look nicer than A&M's. A&M's is bigger, louder, numerous other advantages, I'm not denying any of that.

Might be a while before you need that upper deck... That mofo looks like it'd hold 110,000...

Confirmed

The South EZ is going to be completely redone. It won't add much capacity as it will be coaches offices, new locker rooms and suites mostly.

My hopes

West side grand stands extended on both sides of the press box to make a true horseshoe and lighting to match the east side.

Permanent seating on both sides of the M. Get rid of the grass and no one sits on the M during games.

New, larger video board that is moved closer to the field.

This would all put capacity probably just shy of 80k and should look pretty nice. That's about the best we can do with what we have.

Have you been there? Did you come up for the 31-3 shellacking last year? Wait til you actually visit the place before saying that. Google images are not always the best way to tell the story. Based on the visuals you honestly probably thought our stadium is as small as Vandy's or something, I know. But its not, its nearly double the size. And like I say above, aesthetically its nicer than Kyle Field. Not a homer statement just an honest one from having just been at Kyle last weekend. When I see pics of Kyle online I'm always like "oooh aaaah" but going there was something different.

We already have the upper deck on the East side. All we need to do is add an upper deck to the south and north sides

Lets be honest for a second here shall we? Neyland is a dump that was only 80% full last time Mizzou visited.

I'll be at Neyland this weekend so I'll provide an honest opinion of the place on the SECrant.

Mizzou is not selling enough tickets to expand capacity. And having only 11am & 2:30pm games this year was a major influence on that. Complete bullshite

I have been there multiple times over the years including Mizzou's last game there.

Its a dump.

Last time I was forced to sit that close to other people was in basic training when we were all nut to butt listening to a drill sergeant bark unintelligible shite.

Why would say that? Have you ever attended a game at Faurot?

Did you go last year when beat the dogshyte out of your team? It's kinda becoming "old hat" to us.

With TV & the soft attendance in a lotta CFB markets, 80,000 & an enhanced experience is the way to go. Other than 3-4 in the B1G, 6 in the SEC & 2-3 in the P12 & B12 the 78 - 80,000 number is still in the top 20 size wise & seems like a perfect fit for MU...

Sanford Stadium in Athens is perfect at 92,746, a lotta blah-blah about increasing capacity but it'd be stupid.
