Mizzou has been a much better program than Tennessee over the past 15 years. I could see that trend continuing.
Missouri Record by year (trending downward since 2013):
2011 - 8-5
2012 - 5-7
2013 - 12-2
2014 - 11-3
2015 - 5-7
Tennessee Record by year (trending upward since 2013):
2011 - 5-7
2012 - 5-7
2013 - 5-7
2014 - 7-6
2015 - 9-4

I blame Dooley for this thread.

Mike Hamilton is really the one to blame. It doesn't matter though, Tennessee is trending back up after a 7-8 year stretch in the woods

We are in the south, you lose by default.
Both states touch and it's possible for a MO resident to live further south than a TN resident.

You will notice that from 2001-2004, UT was solid, while Mizzou stunk. The turning point was around 2007
Tldr: UT stock...down
MU stock...up
Overall since '01

So you're telling tRant you'd classify MO as a Southern state?

Half of the state of Tennessee is South of the most Southern part of Missouri...Missouri is only slightly further South than Illinois. Hell...if you want to play it that way...it's possible for a resident of Ohio to be further south than a Missouri resident...guess that makes Ohio a southern state.

You picked the best 15 year run in the history of your program while also using the worst period of Tennessee's program.
And the results are very similar. That should tell you all that you need to know when comparing Tennessee to Missouri football.
Not sure why you're trying to flame anyways after getting waxed on your schedule and losing to Kentucky and Vanderbilt and going 1-6 in conference play. You will lose to Tennessee again in 2016.

That's because Tennessee started the 2000s out strong. Look at the records in the last ten years if you want discrepancy...
You guys win 9 games and all the sudden call yourselves title contenders

8 out of the last 15 years that you mentioned have been the worst period in the history of Tennessee football.
It's what's called the new normal.

Beating your arse annually will be the new normal from 2015 moving forward. You guys had a decent run for a little while though

We heard the same in 2012

Except that you finished 1-6 in conference play in 2015 and lost the best coach you've ever had.
You might get lucky and finish 4th in the East this year. I doubt it though. Anywhere from 5-7th is probably more accurate.
