Sounds like they are going to host more NCAA softball. SEC has been building and upgrading a lot lately. Think they are trying to end the PAC domination of the sport. Might be ESPN behind that as they have been pushing ACC and SEC spring sports the past 5 years or so.
Congrats on getting a new stadium, should piss off the nearby B12 and B1G host schools getting competition.

It will never be supported like some of the other SEC schools but it can certainly outdraw softball if the program is handled properly.

The old stadium was built to hold 500 but the average attendance was over 1,200 because of temporary seating added to the old place. The new stadium will have something like 1,800 permanent seats but be able to hold well over 2,000. I have no idea where that sits in comparison to the rest of the conference.
