Was just curious about the process

The process we have to use im sure differs from the process large schools use. Again we are a tiny school 300ish in the whole high school. I had 60 in my graduating class. So we basically have to make the first move to get colleges attention. Luckily for us LaMarque High School, Texas City High School, Dickinson High School, Friendswood High School, and Ball High are pretty highly recruited schools within a 10 mile radius. So if coaches do decide to make a trip to the above schools that is when we had the chance to try to bring them on campus etc.

We had 2 guys Josh Bell (TE) and Chris Thompson (LT) commit to UofH that same year. They offered Sam a full ride as well, but told him they wanted him to beef up and play DT/Nose (he played DE, NT, and LB in HS, again we dont have alot of kids) it was a pretty hard decision when he finally choose Mizzou, which he did at the last minute because he could have kept both of his teammates, but decided on Mizzou because he liked the campus and wanted to "spread his wings" out of the Houston area was one of the reasons he gave us.

Im babbling now. But yeah this kid is just as good of a person off the field and he is a competitor on the field. Humble, very well raised, gives back to his community. It really is a pleasure seeing him doing so well at Mizzou.

TL;DR That One Guy is dickriding Mike Sam :faggy:

For comparison:

Trey Flowers

25 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 4 sacks, 2 FF

Chris Smith

23 tackles, 8 TFL, 6 sacks

Kony Ealy

10 tackles, 3 TFL, 2.5 sacks

Michael Sam

23 tackles, 10 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 FF

Michael Sam looks like a beast. Ealy hasn't been as productive in terms of stats but maybe he creates opportunities for others, the way Clowney does. I dunno.

I wouldn't trade Flowers or Smith for anyone, though. I selfishly hope that Flowers doesn't go pro after this season. I wish our back 7 were even half as good as our DL.

I still don't take Mizzou seriously...because we don't have to play them.

I guess you're not expecting to make it to the ATL?

Glad to see the Tigers fairly healthy and competing in the league this season. Still got some tough teams ahead but I wish them well.
