Super weird bunch on here. Living in Missouri my whole life it can get pretty embarrassing seeing the things they post on tRant. I don’t get the hate for OU at all. Series has never been competitive, and the two programs are on totally different planes competitively and historically. Losing a couple hometown kids to MU sucked but now they just shite nonsense all over the board at all times. They’d be in the big 10 if it wasn’t for OU anyway.

Missouri went 4-5-1 that decade against OU. Ya'll have been like 10-54 since then.

The OU-Missouri rivalry will probably take the place of the Arkansas-Missouri rivalry in the very near future.

We don't hate OU. We hate the Jayhawks. We don't like that OU beat the shite out of our Tigers almost every season since the 1960s. Imagine if Mizzou had come to Norman and beat your Sooners by 30+ every year - you would be excited for any perceived win against us, even if it's a couple recruits.

A lot of OU fans lost their fricking minds over those recruits, your idiot fans tried to ruin a recruit's father's business because his kid committed to Mizzou. Let's not act like this is just Tiger fans getting over-excited. Your fans are used to Mizzou being a doormat, and some of them do not like seeing the program have some fight.

I think Arkansas is slowly going to become our primary rivalry over the years if we don't find a way to start playing Kansas against permanently as an annual non-conference game. I mean, Mizzou and Kansas will always hate each other in a special way that no other school can replace, but if we don't play them, it's hard to give a shite from a football perspective. OU-Mizzou will become a minor rivalry, but we will always be a secondary game to them with the Red River Rivalry on the calendar.
And that's why I think Arkansas will slowly come around too - they clearly perceive Texas to be their primary rival, but Texas will always view Arkansas third to OU and Texas A&M. It's a rivalry of convenience, but Mizzou-Arkansas have too much in common not to become rivals. And once the Hogs get their shite sorted out and starting beating us in football more often, their fans will start to buy in more too. Right now I think they just hate the fact that they lose to us as often as they do, and don't want to be perceived as the lesser program.

Boomer00 do some research, the SEC leadership in 2011 has St louis ties. They weren't dumb they like Missouri's TV sets
