he was unranked/unknown when we got his commitment and everyone on the boards freaked out about taking a 0 star guy
I went back and looked not to long ago, because I was looking for this very thing for CJ.
On the 247 thread, most were like "wow" and trying to keep it hush. When the coaches saw him at camp, they knew and informed posters knew, too.
Bernardrick Mckinney's commitment was more of the freaking out about a 0 star guy.

I fear for the South Alabama quarterback. He's going to get raped in front of his home crowd.

Freeze will get a text message from tunsil 30 minutes before the egg bowl kickoff. "Hey..my stomach is not feeling so great. I think I am just going to sit this out."

Jones was definitely better from the start, but Nkemdiche had a better year in less time.
Nkemdiche:
34 tackles (25 solo )
8 TFL
2.0 Sacks
11 games played
Jones:
32 tackles (17 solo)
7 TFL
3.0 sacks
13 games played.
That's what's up. I hope RN blows the SEC up this year!

Jones split time all season while RN was in a starting role from day one. And Jones had 10 QB hurries. I'll look it up but I'm pretty sure RN played more minutes last season than Jones.
I wouldn't be too confident about that. RN was out for two games, suspended for two quarters of another game, and missed majority of the A&M game. He missed a lotttt more than you are imagining.

He missed all that time because he is a prima donna bitch unlike the hardworking, white, Anglo-Saxon, blue collar, protestant Schtayte players.

RN now has a helmet that fits. He'll blow this clown out of the water.

RN got more time at DE where you put up more numbers. I can't say for sure if Jones is better or not right now, (probably) but I damn sure know he looked more dominant at times than RN.

RN was a different player once we moved him inside. He didn't do much of shite while he was playing DE.

...Nkemdiche was at DT full-time by the Texas game.

I didn't think he went there full-time until the Arky game.
ETA: I'll pay closer attention this year

RN is going to have to take some time off this season to rescue his brother from drug lords that have kidnapped him.
